Erosion
Erosion and Deposition
Rocks are eroded from mountains. The sediments are carried by rivers and deposited. They are eventually compacted and cemented to become sedimentary rocks.
Erosion is the removal of weathered rocks by moving water, wind, ice or gravity
Deposition is the laying down of rock forming material by any natural agent.
Erosion is displacement of solids usually by wind, water, or ice by downward or down-slope movement.
